Miracle on The Hudson

Nobody will dispute the emergency landing in New York's Hudson River last month was a miracle. After all, there had never been a successful crash landing on water before. Emergency landing on water is well practiced but the real thing is quite a different matter.

Coffee, Praise and Music Too

About 45 dear souls braved a chilly evening last night to hear some beautiful songs of praise and worship at our monthly gospel music Coffee House. This is our eighth year of presenting good gospel music fellowship to the community as a Christian outreach endeavour.

Church Receives Music Rights

Award winning singer and songwriter, Elizabeth Deveau has agreed to allow her recordings in audio/video productions at Debert Baptist Church.

The popular recording artist from Halifax, today, authorized the church to use her voice, music and lyrics in the church and through its new web portal.

The agreement, perhaps the first of its kind, was accepted by church pastor, Bill Martin. He described her kindness as "a gracious gift from a very talented lady."

After School Program

Our new Junior Church, is underway. Children of elementary school age are taught, supervised and cared for at Debert Baptist Church each school day from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

This Christian education program is offered at no charge, although parents who are able may contribute toward expenses.

Registration is required.
