It is beyond our expectations. That's the view of Pastor Bill when he talks about the turnout for a new video series currently offered at Debert Baptist Church.
The program is called H20, a play on the scientific term for water. Each video in the series of ten is titled after some form of water and the general theme centres on the thirst for a meaningful life.

Over 50 people have come out for the Sunday evening event. It starts with dinner at six o'clock and follows quickly with the video or short movie. Pastor Bill then leads a short discussion on the video and the whole thing is over by eight.
We are delighted with the turnout says the pastor. Anytime you reach out to the community you are never really sure of what to expect. We would have been pleased with twenty, so fifty is just over the top.
These are tough times out there and people are seeking answers. Many of their questions are about feelings from within, feelings about want and feelings about need. There is an emptyness in today's world. We are surrounded with stuff and things but we still need something to fill us. Many of the questions people ask today can only be answered by God and many people do not know how to ask. Our video series H20 answers many of these questions.
The dinner and movie series continues every Sunday at 6:00 pm. The door is open to all with no cost, no dress code, no strings attached. The pastor noted there is no sermon or preaching because the very modern video hits all the tough questions.
