The right to use Deveau's music will add a new level of excellence to the production of new church material. The music, both sung and instrumental, will be used in foreground and background production of video presentations, website videos and podcasts, all part of DBC's new technology program begun last week in the church.
Deveau is no stranger to Debert Baptist. She attended the church last August when she led the praise time before worship, then sang two recordings, from her CD Living Waters, in a special presentation during the service. A month later, pictured above, she was the featured performer at the induction service for Pastor Bill.
Deveau has won a number of gospel music awards, including the People's Choice Artist of the Year in 2007. The Halifax resident is particularly proud of her music ministry and it shows in her emotional presentations, none more emotional than her rendition of The Lord's Prayer.

Debert Baptist recently approved a big screen monitor in the church and the creation of the church's first website (this site). The 50" monitor was installed in the sanctuary last week and the website launched a few days before.
People are welcomed to Sunday services with a revolving message board of current community announcements on the big screen. Generic music was included in the first production. Pastor Bill says, "With this agreement, Elizabeth's music will be used and will add greatly to the substance and our enjoyment."
Additional production is underway to add audio and video content to this website. Downloadable podcasts will soon follow, carrying faith messages, faith lessons and some of the weekly sermons. It is all part of the outreach program now underway at DBC.
