Nobody will dispute the emergency landing in New York's Hudson River last month was a miracle. After all, there had never been a successful crash landing on water before. Emergency landing on water is well practiced but the real thing is quite a different matter.
When a flock of Canada Geese collided with the U.S. Airways Airbus A320, the birds took out the plane's two jet engines, Captain Chesley Sullenberger had seconds to decide a course of action. The veteran pilot, with glider training in his background, did not hesitate and brought the 155 passengers to a wet but otherwise safe landing.
Political cartoonists are always firing away at somebody and often they create a firestorm of controvery. Then again, like this cartoon from the Sacramento Bee, sometimes they just get it right.

It seems that Capt. Sully was the right pilot, at the right place, at the right time. Yes, we all agree, it was a miracle on the Hudson.
