We had the newest members of our congregation light the Advent candles of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love, while our Deacon’s read scripture portions applicable to each candle’s purpose. This Sunday, Christmas Day, we will light the Christ Candle.
Our Church is commencing a new mission venture for our community with our Lord’s guidance. We are offering an afternoon school program, at our church, from January 3 to the end of school year. This open to our community school children from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. There will be healthy snacks and a Christian flavour to our story and craft programs. Advanced registration is required.
This program will be run under the capable leadership skills of Aaron and Sherri Stevenson, supported by a number of volunteers. They have such a love for the Lord in all their undertakings. Our youth group is really enjoy their leadership at their 412 Café (1Tim 4:12) on Saturday evenings.
The bells will ring on Christmas Eve with a special service of celebration, beginning at 7 pm. We are also offering a Christmas Day worship service at 10:45 in the morning and again in the evening at 7:00 for a more contemporary service.
Our Church will be open on Christmas day with a full Christmas meal at 4 p.m. for all those of our community who are in need of a Christmas meal and fellowship. This is an ideal time for our seniors to participate with a time of fellowship in the afternoon before the late afternoon meal.
There is much going on and we are blessed at every turn, and we extend those blessings to all with our wish that everyone have a very Merry Christmas.
