Who planned the execution of John the Baptist?
It seems people are very familiar with the stories surrounding John the Baptist. While not everybody answered correctly, everybody was, at least, on the right track.
Two thirds of our respondents correctly identified Herodias (Matthew 14:3-8) as the plotter fatale. The other one third named Herod the Great. Although that is the wrong answer, it is just technically wrong. You see, Herod and Herodias were Mr. and Mrs., so it is not beyond the realm of reason to deduce that he had something to do with what she was thinking.
For those of you who want to split hairs or blame the lady, then Herodias is the culprit.
